A private island sits in the middle of clear spring water, with a wooden bridge leading across to it. On the island is a large open-sided pavilion under a palm-thatch roof, and that is where the reception happens — covered, whatever the weather does. Around it: open pasture, live oaks draped in Spanish moss, horses, a pool and three houses. It is one property, an hour inland from the coast, and it is rented one group at a time.

What it's rented for

What people rent it for

We host one group at a time, so the island, the water and the grounds belong to whoever booked them. Weekdays and off-season dates are easier to get and cost less — email us and we'll tell you what's open.

Weddings

Vows on the deck at the water's edge, dinner and dancing under the covered pavilion, and the wedding party asleep in the houses afterward.

Quinceañeras

There is room for the full court and the dance, and the horses are available for the entrance. Se habla español.

Private parties

Birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, graduations and family reunions — the kind of day that needs space and no neighbors.

Corporate & retreats

Company gatherings and multi-day retreats, with lodging already on the property so nobody is commuting.

Photo & film

Water, palms, mossy oaks, red ranch fencing and horses — several completely different backdrops without leaving the property. Email us about hourly use.

What's different here

There are good venues nearby, and several of them hold more people than we do. These three things aren't about budget, though — they're about what's already on the land.

These are the starting prices each venue lists publicly. Prices change, so check with them. And they do hold more people — if you're planning 200 guests, they're a better fit than we are. We stop at 100 on purpose.

How we're set up

A lot of venues build their margin into the bar and a required caterer. We don't work that way, which tends to change the overall cost more than the rental line itself. Email us and we'll walk you through it for your event.

We don't run a bar, so you're free to bring your own. For most couples this is the single biggest difference in the budget. Email us for the details as they apply to your date.

Your food

Bring your own food

You are not tied to a catering list. Family can cook, or you can order from a restaurant you already like and set it out on the buffet tables. Email us and we'll tell you how others have handled it.

Place settings — plates, napkins, glassware — can be brought in, supplied by your caterer, or rented from us. Email us and we'll put a number to it for your headcount.

Rates depend on the day of the week, the time of year, how many people you're bringing and whether you want the houses. Rather than publish a figure that won't match your event, we'd rather send you a real one.

Before you email

Can we bring our own food and drinks?

Yes. We don't run a bar and we don't hold you to a catering list. Family can cook, or you can order from a restaurant you already like. Email us and we'll tell you how other groups have handled it for a day like yours.

How many people can you host?

It depends on the layout you want and which parts of the property you're using. Tell us roughly how many you're expecting and we'll tell you honestly whether it works.

What does it cost?

It varies by day of the week, season, group size and whether you want the houses. Email us with your date and we'll send real numbers rather than a range that won't apply to you.

Are plates, napkins and glasses included?

They can be brought in, supplied by your caterer, or rented from us. Email us with your headcount and we'll put a number to it.

What happens if it rains?

The pavilion over the reception area is a permanent roofed building, so the day doesn't change and there's no tent to arrange.

Can our guests stay overnight?

Yes. There are three houses on the property — a four-bedroom with a pool, a two-bedroom, and a three-bedroom. They can be booked alongside an event or on their own.

Can we take photos with the horses?

Yes, and it's one of the things people ask for most, especially for quinceañera entrances. Mention it when you email so we can arrange it.

Do you host quinceañeras?

Regularly — it's one of the things we book most. There's room for the full court and the dance. Se habla español; escríbanos y con gusto le atendemos en español.

Can we see it in person?

Yes, and we'd rather you did. Photos don't do the bridge or the water justice. Email or text us and we'll set up a time.

How far is it from the coast?

About an hour from West Palm Beach, Port St. Lucie, Stuart and Fort Pierce, and roughly ten minutes from Okeechobee.

Can we book the houses through Airbnb?

Yes — the farmhouse is listed on Airbnb and you can book it there. If you're booking alongside an event, or you want more than one house, email us directly and we'll handle it together.
