Okeechobee, Florida · 20 private acres
A private island sits in the middle of clear spring water, with a wooden bridge leading across to it. On the island is a large open-sided pavilion under a palm-thatch roof, and that is where the reception happens — covered, whatever the weather does. Around it: open pasture, live oaks draped in Spanish moss, horses, a pool and three houses. It is one property, an hour inland from the coast, and it is rented one group at a time.
Weddings, quinceañeras, private parties, company retreats, photo shoots — and quiet weekends with no event at all.

What it's rented for
We host one group at a time, so the island, the water and the grounds belong to whoever booked them. Weekdays and off-season dates are easier to get and cost less — email us and we'll tell you what's open.
Vows on the deck at the water's edge, dinner and dancing under the covered pavilion, and the wedding party asleep in the houses afterward.
There is room for the full court and the dance, and the horses are available for the entrance. Se habla español.
Birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, graduations and family reunions — the kind of day that needs space and no neighbors.
Company gatherings and multi-day retreats, with lodging already on the property so nobody is commuting.
Water, palms, mossy oaks, red ranch fencing and horses — several completely different backdrops without leaving the property. Email us about hourly use.
A four-bedroom house with a pool, plus two more houses. Book a weekend with nothing scheduled and no reason to leave.
Your vendors, your call

Compare us honestly
There are good venues nearby, and several of them hold more people than we do. These three things aren't about budget, though — they're about what's already on the land.
The ceremony happens on a deck built out over the water. Most venues within an hour of here put you on grass in front of a building.
Water on three sides
The pavilion isn't a tent that goes up for the day. It's a permanent building, so weather doesn't send anyone scrambling for a rental the week of.
No tent to rent
Everyone arrives by crossing it. It works as an entrance, a reveal and a photograph at the same time, and it isn't something that can be added to a pasture later.
Arrival and reveal| Venue | From | Guests | Water | Covered | BYO alcohol | Own food | Lodging |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CBC Farm Events | $2,900 | 100 | Lagoon | Pavilion | No corkage | Yes | 3 homes |
| J-5 Ranch | $4,500 | 260 | No | Barn | Ask | Caterer | No |
| Barn at Mancil Ranch | $4,500 | 200 | No | A/C barn | Ask | Caterer | No |
| Diamond D Ranch | $6,500 | 150 | No | Glass barn | Ask | Caterer | No |
These are the starting prices each venue lists publicly. Prices change, so check with them. And they do hold more people — if you're planning 200 guests, they're a better fit than we are. We stop at 100 on purpose.
What you save
A lot of venues build their margin into the bar and a required caterer. We don't work that way, which tends to change the overall cost more than the rental line itself. Email us and we'll walk you through it for your event.
We don't run a bar, so you're free to bring your own. For most couples this is the single biggest difference in the budget. Email us for the details as they apply to your date.
You are not tied to a catering list. Family can cook, or you can order from a restaurant you already like and set it out on the buffet tables. Email us and we'll tell you how others have handled it.
Place settings — plates, napkins, glassware — can be brought in, supplied by your caterer, or rented from us. Email us and we'll put a number to it for your headcount.

Nobody drives home
A 4-bedroom house with a pool, a 2-bedroom house, and a 3-bedroom house — all on the farm. Everyone gets ready here in the morning and sleeps here that night. No hotel rooms to book, no shuttle, nobody driving home at midnight.

Rates & availability
Rates depend on the day of the week, the time of year, how many people you're bringing and whether you want the houses. Rather than publish a figure that won't match your event, we'd rather send you a real one.
The island, the covered pavilion and the event grounds for the day, with tables and chairs.
Add the four-bedroom house with the pool and the two guest houses so your group stays the weekend.
No event at all — book the farmhouse for a weekend on the property.
